Big Mountains, long beaches, huge lagoons or culture in the cities: Friuli Venezia Giulia shows a big variety.

Remarkable are the art treasures like the Roman mosaics of Aquileia or the sacral buildings of Grado. At Udine you can see frescos by Tipeolo and the cultural goods from the Langobards at Cividale. The castel of Spilimbergo is very remarkable, too. You also have to visit the castel of Miramare and the "Grande Grotta" near Trieste.

In summer tourists can go hiking in the mountains or swimming in the seaside of the Adria. However, in winter the landscape offers also fascinating mountains and ski resorts.
